چکیده
Environmental pollutions especially water pollution has been a persisting issue battle by mankind worldwide. There are various kinds of pollutants in contaminated where it varies from heavy metals, organic dyes, pharmaceutical products and others. The presence all these poses adverse effect to both animal human as most them toxic. With the depleting sources clean water, needs treatment for polluted highly demanded. Adsorption process removal contaminant gaining popularity due easy application. Nanocellulose based materials emerged one interesting adsorbents be applied. This is its sustainability production which aligned with current interest research. main source nanocellulose plants nowadays, majority researches utilize agricultural industrials wastes sources. article focuses on classification, application adsorbent types pollutants.

Textile Wastewater Treatment Using Sawdust as Adsorbent
The role of sawdust in the removal of pollutants from textile wastewater has been investigated. The textile wastewater was treated by using sawdust as adsorbent and then filtered. The various physicochemical characteristics of sawdust treated and untreated textile effluent were analyzed. The maximum percent removal of 37% was observed for total suspended solids while minimum removal of 9% for c...
متن کاملApplicability of Agricultural By-product as Adsorbent in Wastewater Treatment
Although activated carbon adsorption is an efficient process in water treatment applications, high costs involved in both the production of carbon and the operation of adsorption units have caused to search alternative adsorbents. Agricultural by-products are a group of alternative adsorbent, with only one or several adsorption cycles, which is available locally in a cheap and abundant manner. ...
متن کاملNanocellulose-Based Materials for Water Purification
Nanocellulose is a renewable material that combines a high surface area with high strength, chemical inertness, and versatile surface chemistry. In this review, we will briefly describe how nanocellulose is produced, and present-in particular, how nanocellulose and its surface modified versions affects the adsorption behavior of important water pollutants, e.g., heavy metal species, dyes, micro...
متن کاملPoorly humified peat as an adsorbent for metals in wastewater.
Metal adsorption and surface charge determinations were performed previously on well-characterised Sphagnum and Carex peat samples. The aim of this investigation was to determine metal adsorption from complex wastewaters onto these peat samples and compare it to the adsorption onto peat granules, clinoptilolite, glauconite and a flue dust from steel production. A sulphide mine leachate, a landf...
متن کاملMechanosorptive creep in nanocellulose materials
The creep behavior of nanocellulose films and aerogels are studied in a dynamic moisture environment, which is crucial to their performance in packaging applications. For these materials, the creep rate under cyclic humidity conditions exceeds any constant humidity creep rate within the cycling range, a phenomenon known as mechanosorptive creep. By varying the sample thickness and relative humi...
